Jake Storey is a qualified and experienced town planner, drawing on over 30 years planning practice in the public and private sector. After graduating from the University of Queensland, Jake commenced employment with Gold Coast City Council as a Town Planner and Coordinator, Implementation & Assessment, until leaving in 2004 to establish Storey & Castle Planning.

After graduating from the University of Queensland, Jake commenced employment with Gold Coast City Council as a Town Planner and Coordinator, Implementation & Assessment, until leaving in 2004 to establish Storey & Castle Planning.
Whilst with Council, Jake worked on a diverse range of development proposals including mixed use commercial and residential developments; medium and large-scale residential subdivisions; high rise apartment buildings; commercial and industrial centres; education, community and medical facilities; and telecommunication facilities.
In key development assessment roles, Jake has coordinated the review and implementation of planning scheme provisions, policies and criteria and continues to consult Council in specialist Planning Scheme review roles.
Since commencing Storey & Castle Planning, Jake has worked on an extensive and diverse range of development projects across the Gold Coast, broader South-East Qld, NSW and Darwin, NT.
While continuing as a consulting urban planner, the commencement of Storey Urban represents a positive shift in focus, bringing efficiencies, improving relationships, and raising the level and quality of service provided to clients.
Jake actively contributes to professional affiliations affecting development across the Gold Coast.
